Community Concepts Inc. Launches Its Horn of Africa Operations in Baidoa, Somalia. July 2016
Abdirazak Sabtow, our regional manager at Community Concepts Inc. in Waltham, Massachusetts, successfully handed over a livestock project comprising of a dozen milk cows and a score of goats to the local youths’ association in Baidoa, Somalia. The group will utilize these animals to obtain milk for self-consumption and sale within the community.
The project, which is in line with the organization ethos, is touted to improve the nutrition and health of the youths while garnering them some income for herd upkeep/maintenance and expansion.
This project financing was generated within the organization and from a few erstwhile Boston Somali Community friends. The project collected $ 13,450 this year (January to April 2016); all monies have been well spent and accountability reports are in the pipeline.
